Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective date: 19 October 2026
We want trying Roadmapper to feel risk-free. This policy explains when you can get your money back and how cancellation works. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Plans at a glance
| Plan | Billing | Money-back window |
|---|---|---|
| Explorer (Free) | — | Nothing to refund |
| Architect Pro — monthly | One month per payment | 7 days from first purchase |
| Architect Pro — annual | One year per payment | 14 days from first purchase |
| Career Sprint | One-time, 90 days of Pro | 7 days from purchase |
| Credit top-up packs | One-time purchase | 7 days from purchase, on unspent credits |
The billing column describes plans bought on our website. Architect Pro bought in our Android app through Google Play is a subscription that renews automatically — see Section 2b.
Every account can try the product before paying: your first AI roadmap is free, and so is one go at each learning tool. If you want more before committing, the ₹149 starter pack is the smallest step up — so the windows below are a backstop, not the way to try the product.
2. Money-back guarantee
- If Roadmapper isn’t for you, email us within the window above and we will refund the payment in full — no questions asked.
- A refunded plan ends when the refund is processed, and the credits included with it for that period are removed. Credits you bought separately as a top-up pack stay yours. A partial refund on a plan is reviewed by a person rather than applied automatically.
- The guarantee applies to your first purchase of each plan type, once per account.
- We may decline a refund where usage indicates the guarantee is being abused — for example generating a large volume of AI roadmaps or exports and then requesting a refund, or repeated purchase-and-refund cycles.
2a. Credit top-up packs
- Credits are consumed the moment an AI generation runs, and that generation costs us real money — so a top-up pack is refundable on the credits you have not spent, within 7 days of purchase. We refund the unspent portion of that pack and remove those credits from your balance.
- Credits included with a plan are part of that plan’s price and are covered by the plan’s money-back window above, not separately.
- If a generation fails because of a fault on our side, its credits are returned to your balance automatically — you do not need to ask for a refund for that.
2b. Purchases in the Android app (Google Play)
- Plans and credit packs bought in our Android app are billed and processed by Google Play, under Google Play’s terms. The plans, the credits and what you can use are exactly the same as on the website.
- Architect Pro (monthly or annual) bought in the Android app is an auto-renewing subscription: it renews at the end of each month or year, at the price shown in Google Play, until you cancel. Career Sprint and credit packs are one-time purchases and never renew.
- Cancel any timein the Google Play Store app (your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Roadmapper) or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep Architect Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Uninstalling the app or deleting your Roadmapper account does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
- Refunds. The money-back windows in Section 1 and the top-up-pack rules in Section 2a apply to Google Play purchases too. Email us (Section 5) and we refund through Google Play, or request a refund from Google directly through Google Play, under Google’s own refund policy.
- However a Google Play purchase is refunded — by us or by Google — the result is the same as on the website: a refunded plan ends when the refund is processed and its period’s credits are removed; a refunded pack removes the credits from it you have not spent.
3. Cancellation
- Paid plans bought on our website are fixed-term — they run to the end of the period you paid for and do not auto-renew, so there is nothing to cancel to avoid a future charge. We remind you before a plan expires.
- Outside the money-back window, payments are non-refundable and your plan stays active until it expires; you keep full Pro access for the remainder of the term.
- When a plan expires, your account moves to Explorer (Free). Your data — roadmaps, streaks, reviews, documents within free limits — is retained per the Privacy Policy.
- Architect Pro bought in the Android app renews through Google Play until you cancel it there; how to cancel, and what happens when you do, is in Section 2b.
4. Duplicate, failed or incorrect charges
Duplicate payments and amounts charged where the plan was never activated are refunded in full, at any time — just tell us. If a payment fails but is debited, the amount is normally auto-reversed by your bank/Razorpay within 5–7 business days. For purchases in the Android app, failed and duplicate charges are handled by Google Play.
5. How to request a refund
- Email cognix@roadmapper.space from your registered email address.
- Include the payment reference — from your Razorpay receipt, or for an Android purchase the Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.) from Google’s receipt email — and, optionally, a line on why; it helps us improve.
- We confirm within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method — via Razorpay, or through Google Play for Android purchases — and typically reach you in 5–7 business days (timing depends on your bank).
6. Service credit and downtime
If a prolonged outage on our side materially prevents you from using a paid plan, we will extend your plan by the affected time (or refund pro-rata at our discretion).
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India).
